We have had a excellent sequence of Sunday gathering of the hams. So, let’s do it again.
For the last Sunday in August (oh, that’s a depressing thought), we will be all showing up at a traditional favorite, the Country Drive-In in Halfmoon at 1:00pm, per usual.
The Country Drive-In is on Vischer Ferry Road in Halfmoon. (If you think you it is really on Crescent Road, you are making a rookie mistake. It is really, really on Crescent Vischer Ferry Road if you want the full name, but Crescent Road goes to, say it with me, Crescent.) It is roughly halfway from US 9 where US 9 crosses the Mohawk and Exit 8 off I-87. You cannot miss the place either way, coming east from Exit 8 or west from US 9. In addition to ice cream, perhaps even a vanilla-sherbet twist, there are those that claim Country Drive-In has the world’s greatest onion rings.
