Well, I for one was convinced that that gathering at Scoups Ice Cream at the end of September was to be our last outdoor event for the season. However, the intrepid Steve, K9SMB, has verified the the Country Drive-In, home to the world’s best onion rings by some accounts, will still be in operation this coming Sunday.
Therefore, for the very first Sunday in October, we will be all showing up at a traditional favorite, the Country Drive-In in Halfmoon at 1:00pm, per usual. That’s Sunday, 01/06/2024 at 1:00pm.
The Country Drive-In is on Vischer Ferry Road in Halfmoon. It is roughly halfway from US 9 where US 9 crosses the Mohawk and Exit 8 off I-87. You cannot miss the place either way, coming east from Exit 8 or west from US 9. In addition to ice cream, perhaps even a vanilla-sherbet twist, there are those that claim Country Drive-In has the world’s greatest onion rings.
