This event met with the wrath of Mother Nature. A poorly-timed ice storm, forced the cancellation of the get-together.
Both the January and the February wintertime Ham Socials were brilliant successes. Now it is March and only sorta spring, so let’s do it again!! The outdoor ice cream places are beginning to open after our ever-so-minor winter, but the weather is not quite reliable for resumption of the traditional ham ice cream socials. Maybe next month.
Meanwhile, for this month, the selected date is March 24, 2024 with the traditional 1:00pm as the start time. The place? A little establishment in Clifton Park known as Singlecut, https://singlecut.com/north-tap-room-2/. Yes, yes, it is a tap room, but sampling its wares is not an attendance requirement. Plus we have an “in” with the owner. Also, there is a food truck right outside for those in need of that form of sustenance.
Heck, if the weather is really nice, there is even seating available outside.

If being bossed around by a significant other is more your style, take Exit 10 off the Northway; that’s the Ushers Road. Go west. Turn left onto Van Patten Dr. It is the second road on the left, by the way. If you make it to the Steward’s, you’ve gone way to far. From Van Patten, turn right into Fairchild Sq.
The gathering starts at 1:00pm, but it is ok to show up fashionably late. Hope to see you there.
